The veil lifted,
and opened my eyes.
To a new world,
I could see,
but what I saw,
Was destined for me.
I followed a path,
It was not bright,
It was not safe,
and
It was not right.
That road left me scarred,
Beaten,
and down.
The road was slick,
covered in mud,
stones,
accidents,
and storms.
The road was hard,
long,
but not forgotten.
At the end I had reached,
A choice of two roads.
One windy and twisted,
the other,
leading to you.
I saw a blurred picture down one,
and you down the other.
I descended down the twist,
